Just for Fun Tarot Card Pull - February 26-March 4, 2025 Happy Wednesday! Wednesdays for me are like Mondays, but in a good way. I start my three days working from home for the week after spending the previous four days on the go between work and life, additionally, we hang out together on Twitch, have coffee, chat, and pull tarot and oracle cards for the week. Our one hour on Wednesdays really helps me get into the mindset of working, writing, and being a stay-at-home cat mom. I genuinely miss y'all the days I cannot stream, which was all of last week. But we are back this week, baby! And back we are! We are hanging out in the Spoopy Tarot deck by Amí Naeily and the Classic Horror Oracle deck by Ricardo Diseño (which was gifted to me by the wonderful Jordan, who also does all my thumbnail art and headers). Just for Fun Tarot Card Pull - January 29-February 4, 2025 Happy Lunar New Year, my dear Lore Lovers, and happy 2025! I have been slack about posting content on the blog, but I swear, I am still plugging away... Anyhoo, I have been trying to pull the weekly tarot cards on my Wednesday morning coffee streams over on Twitch, so you can see me do the whole dance and shuffle while still trying to wake up. Because it's 2025 and I am 40, I don't care who sees me before I can form words, it's entertaining. But, I am letting my inner monologue run away with my typing, so let's backtrack. On Wednesdays, we have coffee and discuss the weekly card pulls. Just for Fun Tarot Card Pull - December 4, 2024 It's a new month and that means a new (to the blog) tarot deck! This month, we are using The Magical Nordic Tarot by Jayne Wallace . This deck is beautiful to look at year-round, but it hits a certain note during the winter, especially as we lead up to Yule. We may continue using this deck through January, but we will see. We are starting the month with a two-card draw and this week's cards are the Knight of Wands and Page of Pentacles. Just for Fun Tarot Card Pull - November 27, 2024 Last week I pulled the cards, but only shared them on my socials because I was starting to come down with the crud, which I still have, but it's all good, I am moving forward like normal. And for this final week of November, I continued with my  Anime Tarot Deck and Guidebook: Explore the Archetypes, Symbolism, and Magic in Anime by Natasha Yglesias  deck for the last time before we move on to a more wintery deck in December. Just for Fun Tarot Card Pull - November 6, 2024 This week I felt drawn to pull three cards instead of one, so I did! I used my  Anime Tarot Deck and Guidebook: Explore the Archetypes, Symbolism, and Magic in Anime by Natasha Yglesias , this deck is one of my newer ones and I am completely in love with it, both with the art and the interpretation. The cards pulled were the Five of Wands, Four of Wands, and XII (12) - The Hanged Man. (Before anyone says that the Five and Four are because the deck is new, I pulled all three from different parts of the deck and none of them were touching or close. Random draws are just like that sometimes.) Just for Fun - Tarot Card Pull - October 30, 2024 This week's card is the Nine of Cups, from one of my favorite decks,  Tarot of the Divine by Yoshi Yoshitani . This deck is "inspired by deities, folklore, & fairy tales from around the world" and there is a stunning  companion lore book  that I highly recommend, whether you own the tarot deck or just want a beautiful lore book for your collection. Per the author's guidebook, the  Nine of Cups  means: * Upright: Dreams realized, fulfillment, pleasure, recognition, triumph * Reversed: Greed, devastation, pessimism, addiction, self-loathing The card art represents Taj Al-Muluk and the Princess Dunya from Arabic folklore and the guidebook has a brief overview of the scene depicted. This deck is "inspired by deities, folklore, & fairy tales from around the world" and there is a stunning  companion lore book  I will mention below. Interesting, interesting. I actually did a couple of card pulls today and every draw was a Wands card. Per the author's guidebook, the Ten of Swords means: * Upright: Bitterness, betrayal, rock bottom, martyrdom, severing ties * Reversed: Surviving disaster, recovery, regeneration, the inevitable The card art represents Sedna from Inuit Mythology and the guidebook has a brief overview of the scene depicted.   Just for Fun - Tarot Card Pull - September 2, 2024 Let's kick off September with something a little fun, a tarot card pull! I always enjoy my daily personal card readings and have a pile of decks patiently waiting their turn to be shuffled. My goal is to share a card draw weekly, so hold me accountable on this 😂  The deck is the Tarot Familiars by Lisa Parker and the card is the Ten of Pentacles which (per her booklet) means: * Normal position: Riches, security, intactness, family, ancestry, inheritance, dwelling. * Reversed position: Possible loss, risk. robbery, loss of inheritance, dissipation, gambling. Now, I always pull my cards normal as having the backs not all the same drives me bonkers, but I did include the reverse position description for those who are interested.
