Tarot Card Pull - February 26-March 4, 2025

Just for Fun Tarot Card Pull - February 26-March 4, 2025

Happy Wednesday! Wednesdays for me are like Mondays, but in a good way. I start my three days working from home for the week after spending the previous four days on the go between work and life, additionally, we hang out together on Twitch, have coffee, chat, and pull tarot and oracle cards for the week. Our one hour on Wednesdays really helps me get into the mindset of working, writing, and being a stay-at-home cat mom. I genuinely miss y'all the days I cannot stream, which was all of last week. But we are back this week, baby!

And back we are! We are hanging out in the Spoopy Tarot deck by Amí Naeily and the Classic Horror Oracle deck by Ricardo Diseño (which was gifted to me by the wonderful Jordan, who also does all my thumbnail art and headers).

This week, we drew the Four of Cups, Page of Pentacles, and Five of Swords. Our Oracle draw was the Egg card. (Please note I used OCR to pull the text from images I took of the guidebooks. If anything reads funky, I didn't do much proofing.)

Per the authors' guidebooks,

The Four of Cups means:

The Four of Cups comes in a reading to warn of self-indulgence. Specifically, an indulgence into pity and apathy. This card symbolizes the refusal to move and change the circumstances. In other words, you're bored but you're not gonna do anything about it except mope.

You feel as if your reserves have run dry. If this is true, you should find relief in the fact that we've all been there--burnout is a normal part of modern-day life, especially if we try to place the value we have of ourselves into our work.

"Wake up!" says the Four of Cups. You're dozing off into a state of indifference. For someone who has the capacity for as much passion as you do, come back by giving appreciation for what you do have, even if it's just the power to read these words.

The Page of Pentacles means:

The Page of Pentacles is an ambitious person or energy coming into your life. They have a deep curiosity and passion to achieve great things in life, though they're still a little green for the time being. A childlike attitude works great for them as they move ahead in the world.

This person enjoys hard work because it provides them both material and emotional benefits. If this card represents your energy, it implies you have a good understanding of what it takes to manifest wealth, even if you don't see it materially in front of you just yet.

Sometimes this card foretells the birth of a baby with these characteristics. If this reading is about such a subject, the child will love to ask thoughtful questions as a pastime. They'll be kind and cooperative.

The Five of Swords means:

This is a card of ego and defeat. It can refer to pivotal moments with business partnerships, work colleagues, relationships, or family members. The Five of Swords is one of the cards that points to an overload of pride and an unwillingness to hear out the other side.

While this negative attitude could be a reference to you or somebody else, the saying "one bad apple spoils the barrel" is as relevant as ever here. Whoever started this distasteful way of communicating, it's making the whole place toxic.

If this card is referring to you, remember it's not all about how you play the game. Be careful not to alienate yourself by engaging in a fight that is too intense. It's unfortunate, but even winning may lead to losing if it affects how people feel about you.

The Egg means:

ALIEN

DIRECTED BY RIDLEY SCOTT (1979)

"Oh god, it's moving right towards you!"

It's not always clear that we're only at the beginning of a situation. The stranger the circumstance, the less able we are to predict the way it can evolve over time, with potentially shocking results. Gut-wrenching decisions may be forced upon us when we have limited means with which to respond. But any new encounter, no matter how awful, can prove to be a crucible that helps us recognize our inner strength.

UPRIGHT: Take care when peering into the unknown.

I love these cards because they tell us not to be complacent or stubborn. New paths, people, and opportunities are always coming our way. It's almost Spring in the US, heck, it already is in the Carolinas as pollen turns everything a shade of yellow we can't get rid of until June, it's time for change! But people don't like change, do we? No, not really. We love the idea, hate the application. But, change happens. We are at a time of change. There is new, vibrant energy around us, energy we might not vibe with because we don't like change. It's not the outcome of the change that this reading is telling us to be mindful of, but our actions leading up to it. Think before you speak or act. Don't let your ego or mouth get the better of you. Examine this new energy around you. Maybe they are right, maybe you are, but that's not the point. The point is to listen to them, roll their info into your head along with your info, and find a way to communicate so the outcome doesn't alienate you from everyone else (unless you like being miserable and lonely, I personally do not).

Now, that is it for this week's reading. If you want to get Tarot and Twitchy with me, I pull the cards every Wednesday from 8-9 am EST (New York time). Thursdays, we have coffee and chat from 8-9 am, and on Fridays, we get creative and goofy from 4-6 pm. I am currently building a praying mantis mini block build (think LEGO but smaller), so come hang out!

Until next time, Lore Lovers, stay spookyđŸ’–

The Legend of the Siren of the French Broad River Alluring Cherokee Cryptid or Just a Bunch of Babble? Location: Asheville, North Carolina Both a well-known and seemingly obscure legend, the Siren of the French Broad River is considered a Cherokee legend and has been making the rounds with non-Cherokee locals since 1845. Watch my research process and wrap-up videos here. The Lore Along the French Broad River, just east of Asheville, NC, weary male travelers have reported hearing a beautiful song and seeing a woman beckoning them from the water. If they are not careful, they fall into her arms and are pulled under the waters of the river, never to be seen again. In some tellings, the man falls victim immediately while in others, the siren visits him in his dreams over the course of 3 nights before luring him into the icy waters of the river. The Legend of Zombie Road

The Legend of Zombie Road Ghost Children, Indigenous American Burial Grounds, Train Accidents, Serial Killers, and a Screaming Old Ghost Lady? Sign me up! Location: Wildwood, St. Louis County, Missouri With reports of ghost children, orbs, serial killers, Indigenous American ghosts, zombies (?!?!), and more, Zombie Road AKA Rock Hollow Trail, located in Wildwood, MO (in St. Louis County), is considered one of the most haunted roads in America...but is it? The Lore Reports of paranormal activity on Zombie Road vary from experience to experience. Some people hear footsteps following them, there are reports of rocks being thrown, orbs caught on camera and seen firsthand by people, shadow people, and so much more. And because of all these reports, it’s easy to see why people consider it one of the most haunted roads in the United States. As there are a lot of reports and origin stories dating back to the 1800s, not to mention the location has a dozen names or so, I will try my best to orga...

The Legend of Sica Hollow State Park - South Dakota's Most Haunted Campground

The Legend of Sica Hollow State Park South Dakota's Most Haunted Campground An ancient god wiped out a village, leaving behind blood-red waters, eerie lights, haunting sounds, and a forest you have to be crazy to stay in overnight. But is it really haunted or just a haunting myth? Location: Sisseton, South Dakota (Map) Sica Hollow, located near Sisseton, South Dakota, is home to 900 acres of beautiful forest, trails, and Indigenous spirits. Ancient Dakota Sioux legend tells of a man who was so egotistical that he not only condemned himself to death at the hands of a god but an entire village as well. Now the waters run red with the blood of those who died, and you can still hear the echos of moans, groans, and screams as they perished. Because of this, the Dakota named the area "Sica" (pronounced "she-cha"), meaning "bad" or "evil." See my research and watch the wrap-up here! TIER 2 & 3 MEMBERS!
