February 2024 Update - Part 2

February 2024 Update -  Part 2 I burnt out. There, I said it. Y’all happy now? I didn’t mean to, it just kinda happens that way when you burn the candle from both ends as well as the middle and all points in between. But I did, and it’s good I did when I did because it was just a little burnout and had one exact cause, which I think I have found a cure for, but bear with me as I provide an all-around update. But the problem, first and foremost, was streaming. I am not a streamer. Not really, nor do I want to be one in the current sense of the word. Why do I hate it so much? Well, I am very introverted, and being that level of on and in the way one needs to be on when streaming takes a lot out of me. More than I cared to admit. One two-hour stream would require my entire day leading up to the stream prepping and making sure work would be OK, the stream itself, the rest of the night zoned out recovering, then the actual work of editing those streams into something YouTube-friendly. ...

February 2024 Update I need a break. I’m barreling down the path to burnout. And burnout is something no one ever wants, so I am taking a break. Of sorts.  When I started Lily’s Lore and Legends, I wanted to have my blog and create a podcast. Clearly, the podcast got kicked out the window. But a one-off comment on Facebook led to me recording my research for a friend to watch, which then led to my wrap-ups, all of which led to me streaming, and now I am looking at having to add extra streaming days per week, and dear me, editing video takes a lot of time when it takes you ten minutes to say a ten second thought because you can’t just say a thought, you have to take the viewer fully down your thought train, which is exactly what I am doing here, but at least editing my words goes a lot faster than editing my speech, if you get what I am saying.  *Deep breath* I talk too much. But I digress.  Needless to say, I have a stack of videos I need to edit. I have a stack of half-r...
