  Just for Fun - Tarot Card Pull - September 23, 2024 This week's card is the Eight of Wands and once again from the  Tarot Familiars deck by Lisa Parker . Per her booklet, the Eight of Wands means: * Normal position: Swift activity, speed, hastily made decisions. * Reversed position: Thorns of dispute, jealousy, harassment, quarrels, delay, discord. Interesting, interesting. I actually did a couple of card pulls today and every draw was a Wands card. Just for Fun - Tarot Card Pull - September 16, 2024 This week's card is the Ten of Swords and from one of my favorite decks, Tarot of the Divine by Yoshi Yoshitani . This deck is "inspired by deities, folklore, & fairy tales from around the world" and there is a stunning companion lore book I plan on discussing in an upcoming library look. Per the author's guidebook, the Ten of Swords means: * Upright: Bitterness, betrayal, rock bottom, martyrdom, severing ties * Reversed: Surviving disaster, recovery, regeneration, the inevitable The card art represents Sedna from Inuit Mythology and the guidebook has a brief overview of the scene depicted. It is associated with winter and described as either a fearsome beast that stalks and eats humans or as a spirit that possesses humans, causing them to turn into cannibals. The Legend of Sica Hollow State Park South Dakota's Most Haunted Campground An ancient god wiped out a village, leaving behind blood-red waters, eerie lights, haunting sounds, and a forest you have to be crazy to stay in overnight. Location: Sisseton, South Dakota (Map) Sica Hollow, located near Sisseton, South Dakota, is home to 900 acres of beautiful forest, trails, and Indigenous spirits. Ancient Dakota Sioux legend tells of a man who was so egotistical that he not only condemned himself to death at the hands of a god but an entire village as well. Now the waters run red with the blood of those who died, and you can still hear the echos of moans, groans, and screams as they perished.   Just for Fun - Tarot Card Pull - September 2, 2024 Let's kick off September with something a little fun, a tarot card pull! I always enjoy my daily personal card readings and have a pile of decks patiently waiting their turn to be shuffled. My goal is to share a card draw weekly, so hold me accountable on this 😂  The deck is the Tarot Familiars by Lisa Parker and the card is the Ten of Pentacles which (per her booklet) means: * Normal position: Riches, security, intactness, family, ancestry, inheritance, dwelling. * Reversed position: Possible loss, risk. robbery, loss of inheritance, dissipation, gambling. Now, I always pull my cards normal as having the backs not all the same drives me bonkers, but I did include the reverse position description for those who are interested.
